Luke Callaghan

Luke Callaghan is a NAATI-certified Auslan/English interpreter based in regional NSW, providing professional video remote interpreting services.

When not interpreting, Luke creates and writes under Spooky Luke - an ongoing exploration of heterodoxy through observational pieces where the arcane becomes everyday currency . A collection of waggish detours through magic, poetry, video art, and the sort of observational fragments that suggest the unworldly has just been onboarded into a customer service role.

More recently, he founded celare.online, a critical interrogation of modern medicine's allergy to nuance. The project explores allergic disease, intolerances, and the bureaucratic metamorphosis of ars medica into standardised 'best practice'. Having spent five decades negotiating with his own ridiculously unpredictable immune system, Luke now operates as his own advocate, specialist, and archivist - assembling timelines, essays, and hypotheses that ask what remains when medicine loses its art.
